"Don't give to get, give to inspire others to give"
~unknown~
Hello sewing loves happy Thursday to you all! Well family the holiday's are upon us and I don't know about you but I for one am excited! I love the holiday season because it gives me an opportunity to kick back and hang out with the ones I love. Whenever this time of year rolls around I feel as if there's this special love in the air, a time when everyone seems a little nicer and a bit more tolerant. Of course I would love it if we would treat each other this way all year round but until that actually happens I choose to bask in the love we show one another right now! So as I prepare to hit the road and travel I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite gift ideas for the creative loves in our lives. Hey I figure if Oprah can have her favorite things SHOOT so can I! I hope you enjoy my list of goodies and maybe you'll find something on the list to share with someone you love. If all else fails and you don't have anyone to give these items to you can always treat yourself. But I must warn you giving is not only great for the receiver but the giver feels pretty darn great too. LOL Here's to a fabulous Holiday season loves check back with you soon.
Hugs
Stay tuned for the next four videos from our Draping Series coming up this weekend.
The PGM Miniature Dressform is perfect for the beginner and the accomplished designer/sewing enthusiast. For those that may not have the money to invest in a professional pinnable Dressform but would like to learn how to drape your own garments this is a great option for learning the basics. Trust me anything you can drape on this miniature you can drape on the large scale form. This particular model runs about $152 at www.amazon.com and you can choose which scale of the miniature dressform you like from size 0-10.
Mini Half Scale Professional Pinnable Dress Form
Another alternative for the mini dress form is this model which I actually have and love. While it's not as expensive as the PGM version but it's just as great! You can purchase it at www.amazon.com for approximately $82.99 plus shipping and handling.
- Height Adjustable from 21'' to 29'', 16.5'' Chest, 13'' Waist, 17.5'' Hip, Size 6 (1/2 size)
- 21'' miniature dress form has a pinnable surface with side seams.
- This is a mini form, where the scale is 1:2, or half the size of a full size 6 ladies form.
- Great for designing purposes and draping practice. Popular with clothing design art students.
- Price is for 1 pc only.
Yes it's the New iPad Pro with Pen
Okay so this may be one you actually purchase for yourself (teeheehee)! Yes I purchased this baby and when I tell you I absolutely love it I truly mean that. Not only is the mere size of the large pro phenomenal the fact that it has a pen is just icing on the cake. Now keep in mind you can go with the smaller pro and still be able to use the pen, but my motto is GO BIG OR GO HOME on this one. I not only take notes, write letters and tons of other things but my favorite thing is being able to sketch out my ideas using several of the drawing apps available. When I tell you this is and probably will be for a long time my favorite purchase I truly mean that! Now I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble but trust me this is a purchase you will not regret! (See Apple.com for pricing as it varies)

I mean who can go wrong with this baby! I absolutely love my sewing on wheels travel case. I'm not sure how many of you want to sew or work when you're on the road but for those of you that do this baby is amazing! The great thing is www.Amazon.com has tons of options for what we lovingly refer to as the sewing machine travel bag, with prices varying from $69.-$259. Of course I'm sure many other retailers sale these but amazon is having great specials for the holiday's so why not check them out as well.
Yes Books make great gifts! Trust me these books are definitely worth adding to any sewing/designers library. They are both reasonably priced at $27.99 for the Mood Fabric Guide www.moodfabrics.com/mood-shop.html and $45.73 For the Draping Complete Course www.amazon.com. I personally love them both and promise you can't go wrong with either of these.
AHHHHHHHH! Draping and drafting tool kits! Yes my hubby purchased these items for me last year and I truly do use every single one of my tools. Both kits can be purchased from PGM online, $29.99 for the smaller kit and $99. for the mother load kit. There are other options available at www.pgmdressform.com so go have a look and see which kit you think would make the best gift for your loved one.

So what do we have here?
Just a few things everyone who sews, drapes or drafts patterns should have in their arsenal! Never underestimate the power of giving these tools to someone you care about. It doesn't have to be as large or as grand as a dressform or ipad sometimes it's the little things that mean the most!
