Palazzo Ready With Butterick 4807!

I like being a woman, even in a man’s world. After all, men can’t wear dresses, but we can wear the pants.'

~Whitney Houston~

So a while back one of my sew sisters posted an inspiration photo in our sewing group featuring a pair of awesome Palazzo pants.  Well I’ve been a longtime fan of palazzo pants but surprisingly I’ve never taken the time to actually make a pair.  Needless to say I was immediately inspired and decided to toss my hat in the ring and make a pair of my own.

For this particular project I wanted a fabric that would hold its shape but not so much that it would be void of movement.  Of course I went to my trusty stack of knits and pulled out this chocolate light weight Ponte knit that breathes, holds it shape and moves with the body.  I know you're thinking Ponte knit! Yes a Ponte knit!  It's funny because this particular ponte (purchased online) is actually lighter than other Ponte knits I have in my stash.  How or why that is I truly do not know but hey it works! LOL I absolutely love these pants and the entire process took me about thirty minutes (sewing only) to complete.  I look forward to adding more of these fabulous pants to my summer wardrobe in various colors and prints. Anyhoo loves I hope you enjoy the pics and that you have a great rest of the week.

Hugs

I used Butterick B4807 view B & cut the pattern one size larger.  I cut the crotch area in my correct size but trimmed the waist and hip down to my specific measurements to create the wide palazzo leg.
